Ekveera Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based over at S. No. 37 in Chincholi Bk, which is part of the Anjangaon Surji area. We work out of Amol Ramrao Ghogare’s place. It started as just a few neighbors talking over the fence about how hard it was to get a fair price for what we were growing. Eventually, we decided to make it official and formed Ekveera. It’s not a big operation with a bunch of trucks; it’s more about a few dedicated people trying to help each other out. We spend most of our time out in the fields, so the office is usually empty until the evening. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to wait until the sun goes down and we’ve finished the day's chores. We handle things like buying seeds together or figuring out who can take the harvest to the market. It’s all very practical stuff. We don’t have a website or any of that, just a phone and a notebook to keep track of everything. Sometimes we get the numbers a bit wrong and have to sit down and recount everything, but that’s just part of being a small local outfit. People in Chincholi Bk know us personally, and that’s how we like it. We’re just regular folks from Anjangaon Surji trying to make a living from the land. It’s hard work, and there are plenty of long days, but doing it together makes it a little easier for everyone.
