Tata Sponge Iron Limited

You can find us at Gt Hostel, Room No 1, within the Tsil Township in Bileipada. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for an office, being in a hostel room, but it works for what we need at Tata Sponge Iron Limited. We are situated in the Joda area of Keonjhar, Orissa. It’s a very industrial setting. The township is where most of the life happens for the workers around here. Room No 1 is where we keep the records and handle all the daily paperwork. It’s a small room, a bit cramped with all the metal files and the old desk, but it serves the purpose just fine. Outside, the township is usually buzzing with people coming off their shifts. Bileipada is a small place, so word travels fast around here. We don't have much in the way of decoration or anything like that. It's just a functional space for us. Living and working in the same township means you’re never really away from the job. We see the same faces every day at the mess hall or just walking around the paths. It’s a community of iron workers, really. We just focus on getting the sponge iron sorted and the trucks dispatched. The heat in Keonjhar can be tough during the day, but the fans in the room help a bit. It’s just a simple, busy life here in the hostel room and we don't mind it.
