We’re set up in Mishrapada, Angul, which is right by the Kalinga Mandir. Our office for Jindal Steel And Power Ltd. is cared for by Niranjan Sahu. Being in Orissa, specifically in the 759122 area, we deal with a lot of the day-to-day operations that keep the larger company moving. It’s not a flashy office with modern art or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we manage orders, talk to suppliers, and keep track of the power projects. We don’t really do marketing, so we don’t have a bunch of slogans. We just tell you what’s happening with the steel or the schedules. Most of us have been living in Angul for years, so we’re very much a local crew. We like the fact that people can just find us near the mandir if they need something. The work can be demanding and the hours are often long, but we just get on with it. We don't pretend to be something we’re not. We’re just a group of people who know their way around the industry and want to do a solid day’s work. The office might have stacks of files and a few too many tea cups lying around, but it’s a real workplace. We’re just here to do our part and stay out of the way of the big corporate machines. It might not be the most glamorous job in Orissa, but it’s what we know.
