Santosi Maa Regional College

Santosi Maa Regional College has been part of Jharbeda for a good while now. If you drive through this part of Keonjhar, you’ll see our gates right there along the main stretch. It is a quiet spot most mornings until the students start arriving from the surrounding villages. They mostly come in by bus or on cycles, and the place gets noisy pretty fast once the first bell rings. We have simple classrooms with wooden benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up fine. Our staff are mostly local people who grew up around here, so they know the families and the way things work in this district. There is a small playground out back where students hang out during lunch, usually sharing food and talking about their exams. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so we keep the ceiling fans running constantly, though they tend to creak a bit. We don't have fancy computer labs or big shiny buildings, just regular rooms where people come to learn what they need to get by. It is a practical place where we focus on getting through the syllabus without much fuss. The office stays busy with paperwork, especially during admission time when parents come by to ask questions about the courses. We just try to keep things running smoothly every day.
