Ramsarup Lohh Udyog

Down here in Angul, Orissa, Ramsarup Lohh Udyog is where we spend most of our hours. It is an industrial landscape, so there is always a bit of dust in the air and the sound of machinery far off. Orissa gets incredibly humid, and when the sun is out, the iron and metal around the site get very hot to the touch. We are not located in a big city center, so life is a bit slower but the work is steady. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the rhythms of the place. You won't find any fancy decorations in our office area. It is mostly just functional furniture and maps of the area pinned to the walls. We have lunch together near the site, usually talking about the day's tasks or the heat. The roads leading into Angul can be rough sometimes, especially when the big trucks are moving through. It is an honest kind of life, working with raw materials and keeping things moving. We do not use any big corporate talk because there is no need for it when you are on the ground. The focus is just on the iron work and making sure we get through the day's schedule. It is a hardworking environment where everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. When the shift ends, we usually head home through the dusty roads, looking forward to some rest before the sun comes up again.
