Osa Ash Bricks

Osa Ash Bricks is located in Susuda Ankula, right on Ashram Road. We are quite close to the Kalyan Mandap, which is a big help when we are trying to tell people how to find our gate. We work with ash bricks, which means everything around here has a bit of a grey tint to it. It is a different kind of process than the traditional red bricks, and we have a few machines that help us press the material into shape. The ash comes in and we have to manage the piles so they don't blow around too much when the wind picks up. It is a dusty environment, but we are used to it by now. Ashram Road is usually busy with people going to functions at the Mandap, so we see a lot of traffic passing by. Our office is just a small room with a table and a couple of chairs where we keep the ledgers. We don't use much software; mostly we just write things down in the books. It is a small crew here. We start our shift early to beat the heat, and by the afternoon, we are usually just finishing up the last of the stacks. It is not a glamorous business, but it is what we do. We just keep the mixer going and hope the rain stays away so the bricks can dry properly. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles.
