About Gayatri Fly Ash Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Angul
We are set up in Banarpal, right near the Jagannath Temple. If you are walking over that way, you will probably see our stacks of fly ash bricks. We started Gayatri Fly Ash Bricks because there was a need for it in the village. It is a straightforward operation. We bring in the ash, mix it up, and press the bricks. They have to sit for a while to get strong. We don't have an office with a computer or anything like that. We keep our records in a ledger and talk to customers face to face. The noise from the temple bells is nice during the day, it keeps things peaceful even when we are working hard. It’s a good spot to work. We have a few guys from the village who help out with the heavy lifting and the loading. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them instead of making bricks, but that is just part of it. We don't do any big promotions. People just know we are here. They come by with their tractors or carts to pick up what they need for their houses. We try to have enough stock ready, but during the monsoon, everything slows down because of the dampness. We just do our work and go home. It’s a basic life, and we are fine with that. We’ve got some shade trees at the edge of the yard for breaks.
