It’s a quiet spot in Anantnag, which is exactly what the bees need to do their thing. We aren't some big, noisy factory. We are just a group of people who care about beekeeping and getting the honey right. The address is quite simple, just Chowgund in Verinag. Most of our time is spent checking on the hives and making sure everything is going okay with the colonies. It’s a lot of outdoor work, so our office is mostly just a place to store our veils and the smokers we use. We don't have any high-tech equipment or fancy gadgets, just the tools that have worked for us for years. Sometimes we get stung, but that’s just part of the job and we don't complain much about it. We don't have a marketing department to tell you how great our honey is or anything like that. We just produce it and let people decide for themselves. We are very much a local operation through and through. Most of us have lived in Anantnag all our lives. We meet up and discuss how the flowers are blooming and what the bees might need next. It’s a slow pace of life but it’s honest work. We don't use big words or try to act like some huge corporation. We are just beekeepers.
