Brights Kids Pre-Primary School

Our school is at Door No 213 on the 2nd Cross of Aravind Nagar in Anantapur. It is a pre-primary school, so as you can imagine, it is a very loud and energetic place. We deal with the smallest children, so our days are filled with helping them learn how to sit in a chair and hold a pencil. Aravind Nagar is a nice residential area, and being on the 2nd Cross makes it easy for parents to drop their kids off. The school is basically a converted house, which makes it feel a bit more comfortable for the little ones who might be nervous about being away from home. We have toys scattered around and colorful mats on the floor. The teachers here have a lot of patience, which they need when dealing with twenty toddlers at once. We don't use any fancy educational jargon or complicated systems. We just play games, sing some songs, and try to get through the alphabet. The walls have plenty of handprints and messy paintings stuck to them. Anantapur is often very sunny, so we spend most of our time indoors where it's a bit cooler. It’s a modest little school that serves the families in our neighborhood. We just do our best to keep the kids happy and safe until their parents come back at noon. There is always a lot of cleaning up to do after they leave.
