V J Patel Higher Secondary School has been a part of Anand for a long time. Our address is simply in the 388001 area, which is pretty central. The building is quite large because we have older students here. It isn't a new construction, so it has that lived-in feel with thick walls and high ceilings. We spend a lot of time walking the hallways and making sure the students are in their rooms. The days are long, starting early and ending late once the last bell rings. There is a lot of history in these walls. We don't use any fancy management speak here. We just have teachers, students, and a lot of books. The courtyard gets a lot of sun, and that’s where most people hang out during the breaks. We have a small office where we keep the records and handle the daily chores. It’s often a bit messy with papers, but that’s because we are always busy. People in Anand know where we are. We are just a local school trying to keep things running properly. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud or a window gets stuck, but we fix those things as they come up. It’s a straightforward operation. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done for the secondary classes. There’s no big secret to how we work or anything like that.
