Shri Saraswati Vidhyalay

Shri Saraswati Vidhyalay is located in Limkheda, which is in the Dahod district. The pincode is 389140. It is a straightforward school for the kids in this part of Gujarat. We don't have anything too fancy here. The building is made of stone and concrete and it has been standing for a while. We have classrooms with wooden benches and old blackboards. During the day, the halls are full of students talking and walking to their next class. It can get quite hot in Dahod, so we try to keep the windows open for the air to move. We have a small playground where the kids play during their breaks. It is mostly dirt and some patches of grass, but they don't seem to mind. The teachers here live nearby and we all know the families of the students. It is a close-knit community. We spend our mornings doing the assembly and then it’s straight into lessons until the afternoon. There is always some paperwork to finish or a parent waiting to talk at the office. We don't use much technology, just books and talk. It’s the way things have always been done here. We just try to provide a decent place for the kids to come and spend their day. It’s an honest living and a busy place to be for everyone involved. We just keep at it.
