Our workshop is located at Plot No. 1115 in Phase 4 of the GIDC area in Vunagar. Tripcon Engineering Pvt. Ltd. has been at this location for quite some time now. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of cut metal and welding. It’s a busy place with a lot of different projects happening at once. We have some large lathes and milling machines that take up most of the floor space. It’s loud, so we mostly communicate with hand signals or by shouting over the noise of the grinders. The guys on the shop floor have calloused hands and a lot of experience. They don't need a lot of direction; they just get the blueprints and start working. We have a small cabin for the engineering drawings and the computer we use for the accounts. It’s usually covered in dust despite our best efforts to keep it clean. Vunagar is a bit of a trek for some, but it’s a good hub for engineering work. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If a customer comes by, they usually just walk through the main shutter and find one of us. We spend a lot of time measuring things to the millimeter and making sure the steel is the right grade. It’s a hard way to earn a living, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished piece of machinery ready to ship out.
