Chandra Engineering Works

You can find us over at Plot No. 44-A on Gali No. 7 in the Anand Prabhat Industrial Area. It is a very industrial part of town, so there are workshops and factories everywhere you look. We do engineering work, mostly involving metal fabrication and fixing up machine parts. Our shop is just like many others in Anand Prabhat, with heavy machines bolted to the floor and a lot of grease everywhere. It gets pretty loud during the day when everyone in the lane is running their equipment at the same time. We have been in this spot for several years now. The office is just a tiny desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. We don't have any polished marketing materials. Most of our work comes from people who just walk in because they saw our gate or heard from a neighbor. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area and we all have to take a break, which is when we usually go out for tea. It is hard work and the days are long, but we like being part of this community. We just focus on getting the pieces right and making sure the machines are running as they should. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do, and it keeps us busy from morning till night. It isn’t always easy, but it is honest work.
