Down on Vidyanagar Road, you'll find us at 5-B, Chinar Gulnar. Jakin Thakkar Associates has been here in Anand for quite some time now. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls, just a regular space where we sit down and look at accounts. As chartered accountants, we spend most of our time with calculators and spreadsheets, making sure everything is where it should be for our clients. The area around Vidyanagar Road is always moving, and we've grown used to the rhythm of the street outside. People come to us when they are worried about their taxes or just need a bit of help organizing their business finances. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just us, working through the piles of paperwork that come with this job. Gujarat has its own way of doing business, and being right here in Anand helps us stay connected to that. We've seen the town change a bit over the years, but our office stays pretty much the same. We like the consistency of it. It’s a practical job and we take it seriously, but we still have time for a chat when a neighbor stops by. We handle the audits and the filings because that’s what we know how to do. It’s not always exciting, but it is necessary work for the local businesses around here. We just keep our heads down and do the counting. The fans keep the air moving while we work.
