Rajeev Sidhu Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of people from Naya Gaon in the Amroha area who decided to work together as Rajeev Sidhu Farmer Producer Company Limited. Rajeev Kumar is the one looking after things here at his place in Kaural. It is not a very big setup, just a few of us trying to make sense of the farming business in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Most days we are out in the fields or sitting around discussing the market prices which never seem to stay still. The roads here get a bit muddy when it rains, making it hard to move the produce, but we manage somehow. We are not experts in business, just farmers who know our land well. People around here know where we are, right in Jyotiba Phule Nagar. It started because individual farming was getting tougher each year with all the costs going up for seeds and everything else. So we figured doing it as a company might help us get better deals or at least let us share the load. There is no fancy office here, just a room where we keep our papers and talk. Sometimes the electricity goes out for hours and we have to finish our work by daylight. It is a simple life and we are just trying to keep things moving for the families involved in our group. Amroha is a quiet place and we like it that way, even if it means we are far from the big city markets.
