If you head down Tarn Taran Road in Amritsar, you’ll find us right across from Namdhari Kanda. The shop is called Music Wave, and it’s basically where we keep all the speakers, mixers, and cables. Being a DJ isn’t just about playing music; it’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the wires aren't tangled up. We spend a lot of time testing out the sound to make sure nothing blows out during a set. Amritsar is a lively city, and there’s always some celebration happening nearby, so we stay pretty busy. We aren't some big agency with a receptionist. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone while trying to load a van. The neighbors probably get tired of us testing the bass, but they’ve gotten used to it by now. We’ve been at this location for a while, and it’s a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. It gets dusty in the shop, and we’re constantly cleaning the gear. When someone comes in to talk about their wedding or a party, we just keep it simple. We tell them what we have and what we can do. It’s not about being fancy; it’s about making sure the music sounds right for the people dancing. That’s the most important part of the job, really. Just keeping the rhythm going and the equipment running properly all night long.
