Sharma Tea Stall

We set up Sharma Tea Stall on Mcleod Road a long time ago. It is tucked away in Gali No. 2 near Rani Ka Bagh. People from Model Town often stop by when they are passing through or going to work. It is just a small stall, really. We make tea throughout the day and sometimes there are some fresh biscuits or rusks too. The stove stays hot most of the time. It is a simple life making chai for the locals. We hear all the local news sitting here. Some customers have been coming for years and they don't even have to say their order anymore. We just know how much sugar they like. The area can get busy because of the main road, but our little corner is usually a bit calmer. We don't have fancy chairs or anything like that. Just a place to stand and drink your tea before heading back to your business. Amritsar can get very hot in the summer, so we try to keep some shade over the stall with an old tarp. It is nothing fancy, just a tea stall. We start early in the morning when the air is still cool and the birds are out. That is the best time of the day. By the afternoon, it gets loud with all the traffic. We just keep the kettle going for whoever stops by.
