You can find Sham Sunil Export right across from the Gandhi Ashram in Nimak Mandi. The address is 1317/8, and it’s a very old part of the city. The streets are narrow and always crowded with rickshaws and people buying salt or spices. It’s a very different vibe from the new industrial zones. Our shop and office are in an old building with high ceilings and thick walls that stay cool even when it’s hot outside. Being opposite the Ashram is nice because there’s a bit of history there. We deal with exports, but our day-to-day is very local. We talk to the vendors next door and deal with the logistics of getting goods through those tiny streets. It takes some patience. There’s always the sound of bells and people shouting in the market. We keep things simple here. A few desks, some old wooden shelves, and a lot of ledgers. We don't use much technology besides what is absolutely necessary. Most of our business is done through handshakes and long-term relationships we’ve built up over the years. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn't great, but it’s home for us. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the midday heat.
