Our workshop is located at 298 in the A.Industrial Area, right across from Mall Mandi. Being so close to the Golden Temple means we hear the sounds of the city all day while we’re working on our machines. It’s an older building, and the walls have seen better days, but it serves us well for what we do. We mostly focus on industrial machinery that other small shops around Amritsar need. Sometimes the floor is covered in metal shavings and oil spills, and we’re constantly looking for that one wrench that someone put down and forgot. It’s not a corporate setup at all; it’s just a group of us who know how these gears and motors should run. We eat our lunch together near the back entrance where there's a bit of a breeze. Clients come in with broken parts or wanting to see a new setup, and we spend time explaining how it all fits together. The traffic near Mall Mandi can be a headache for the delivery drivers, but we manage to get things out on time mostly. We don’t bother with big ads or anything. Most people find us because they know someone we’ve worked with before. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town, and we’ve been doing it this way for years now. We usually have a bit of chai in the afternoon to keep us going through the last few hours of work.
