Preet Arora Soda Junction

Preet Arora Soda Junction is located right near the Model House Gurudwara. Having the Gurudwara so close means there is a sense of peace nearby, even when the streets are busy. We are a soda junction, which basically means we spend our days around the soda machines and the gas cylinders. It’s a simple setup. We have different flavors and we spend our time serving people who want a quick drink. The Model House area is a nice neighborhood, and we see a lot of the same families coming by. It is not a big corporate franchise. It is just a local spot where we work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glasses and making sure the soda is cold enough. In the summers, it gets really packed and we barely have time to sit down. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the drinks and hand them over. Sometimes we stand outside the shop just to catch a bit of a breeze when it isn't too crowded. Our day starts early and ends when the last few people head home after their evening prayers at the Gurudwara. It’s a humble way to make a living, and we like being part of this community. We keep our equipment running and wait for the next person who needs a cold drink on a hot day.
