Little Columbus School

Little Columbus School is located on Friends Avenue, right off Ajnala Road in the Raja Sansi area of Amritsar. It’s a neighborhood that’s quite close to the airport, so we’re used to the sound of planes now and then. The school is a place for the younger children in the community. We have a building that’s been fixed up to be colorful and welcoming for them. It’s not a huge campus, but it’s got enough room for the little ones to have their lessons and some playtime. Amritsar is a busy city, but our corner on Friends Avenue stays relatively calm. We have teachers who are good at handling the energy of small kids. Most of the parents live nearby, so there’s a lot of chatting at the gate during pickup and drop-off times. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the kids engaged and making sure they are learning their letters and numbers. The classrooms have posters on the walls and piles of notebooks on the desks. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s what happens when you have a lot of children in one place. We just try to create a decent environment where they can be kids while they learn. It’s simple, honest work that we do every day. We just make sure everyone has a seat and some crayons.
