Kalsi Plywood Machinery CO.

Our workshop is at C-35 in the New Industrial Focal Point. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where all the space is for the big machines we deal with. Plywood machinery isn’t exactly a quiet business. There’s always the sound of grinding or welding going on in the background. Kalsi is the family name, and we’ve been working with wood-related gear for a long time. The Focal Point area is mostly just other factories and empty lots, so it’s not exactly a scenic place to work. We spend most of our time on the floor, checking parts or making sure the assemblies are lined up right. It gets really dusty, you can’t really help it when you’re dealing with this kind of machinery. We have a small desk in the corner where the paperwork piles up, but mostly we are on our feet. The workers come from nearby and they know the machines as well as I do. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything like that. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else in the plywood trade. If a machine isn't working right, we fix it. That’s pretty much the whole story. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes the grease doesn't come off your hands for a few days, but it’s the work we know how to do.
