99 Academy & Salon

Our place is called 99 Academy & Salon, located at 388 East Mohan Nagar in Amritsar. We’ve been here for a good while now, and this part of the city is usually quite active during the day. The space we have is split because we do hair for customers and we also teach people who want to learn how to be barbers or stylists. It’s a bit of a mix of things happening at once. You’ll often see students practicing on those plastic mannequin heads or helping us out while we work on real people. It gets a little noisy sometimes with all the talking and the hair dryers running at the same time. We’re definitely not one of those big chain salons you see in the shopping malls. It’s just a regular building on a regular street. People come to us for a haircut or maybe to learn the trade so they can go out and start their own little shop later on. We spend a lot of our time standing on our feet, but that’s just how this job works. The address is pretty easy to find if you’re already in the East Mohan Nagar area. Most of our regular customers live within walking distance, but we do get folks coming in from other parts of Amritsar too. We don’t really bother with fancy ads. Most people just hear about us from their friends or see us when they walk past. It’s a practical setup for work, and we like the community here.
