Pragati Science Academy

Pragati Science Academy is located in Deshmukh Market on Palash Line. This part of Amravati, near Gadge Nagar, is always a hive of activity. Since we are inside a market, there is always something going on just outside our door. We focus on teaching science to the local students from Shivaji Nagar and the surrounding areas. We have a few basic pieces of equipment for experiments, but mostly we spend our time with the textbooks and notebooks. The rooms have that smell of old paper and a little bit of dust that comes in from the street. It is a bit of a struggle to keep everything perfectly clean with so many kids coming and going, but we do our best. We hold classes in the morning and then again in the late afternoon. During the middle of the day, the market is very noisy, but we are usually taking a break then. We do not use any tablets or high-tech screens; we prefer the old way of writing things down on the board. We think it helps the students remember the complicated parts of science better. Our wooden benches have been here for a long time and have seen many different students. We are friendly with the other shopkeepers in Deshmukh Market. We often say hello while we are opening the shutters in the morning. It is just a normal, busy life for us here in 444603.
