Khandelwal Cement House

You can find Khandelwal Cement House at Plot No. 44 in the Patel Nagar area, which is pretty close to Sai Nagar. We’ve been running this cement house for years. The yard is usually covered in a thin layer of grey dust, but that’s just part of the job when you’re moving so many bags. We spend most of our mornings waiting for the big trucks to arrive and then unloading them by hand or with a small crane. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, our clothes are usually a mess. We have a small office where we sit and drink tea while waiting for customers. Most of the people who buy from us are neighbors building their own houses or local contractors who we’ve known for a long time. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. We just write down the orders in a big brown ledger book. Sometimes the road outside gets blocked when two lorries try to pass each other, and we have to go out and help direct traffic. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but it’s home for us. We know a bit about the different types of building materials used around here. We don’t use any big sales pitches. If someone needs a few bags of cement for a repair or a hundred for a new floor, we just get it loaded up and sent out.
