Vidhik Marble

Down here at 53, Back Station Mandi, things stay pretty busy. We are close to Char Bhuja Road in the Rajsamand district, which is a big area for this kind of stone work. Marble is everywhere in this town, and we’ve got our own little corner of the market. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving those blocks around. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order comes in right before we plan to close up. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work. We get a lot of people coming through the Mandi looking for specific types of stone. We try to keep a good variety so there’s something for everyone. The dust is just part of the life here. You get used to the smell of wet stone and the sound of the saws. My father worked with stone too, so it’s something I grew up around. We take things one day at a time. If someone needs a slab for a small room or enough for a whole building, we try to help them out. The location near the station makes it easy for transport, though the roads get crowded. It’s a practical business. We aren't into big speeches or fancy logos. We just stand by the stone we sell. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we know how to do best.
