Anand Engineering Works

Our workshop is at W-53 F in the Additional Ambernath area, specifically Anand Nagar within the MIDC. We are quite close to Hotel Pritam, which is where we tell people to look if they get lost. Being in the MIDC means there are factories all around us. It’s a lot of heavy machinery and trucks moving in and out all day. We do general engineering and repair work. Our shop is filled with lathes, drills, and piles of raw material. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We usually have grease on our sleeves by ten in the morning. The roof is made of corrugated metal, so it gets pretty loud when it rains. We have a small crew of guys from the local area. We’ve worked together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. There’s no formal hierarchy here. We just get the jobs done as they come in. Some days it’s a lot of welding, other days we are just cutting steel to size. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. People just know where we are. We have a tea break every afternoon around four. It’s a simple routine that keeps us sane. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Ambernath, just a reliable one where you can get things fixed. That’s the way we like it. We don't need much more.
