N Singh Engineering Works

We've been here at N Singh Engineering Works in Ambernath for a good while now. Our place is over at 71 Chikloli in the MIDC area. It gets pretty loud around here with the machines running, but that's just how the day goes. We handle a lot of metal work and fixing things up when they break down. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we know our way around a lathe and the welding setup. People usually find us when they need something specific made or a part needs a quick repair to get their own machines back on track. It's not a fancy office, just a workspace where we get our hands dirty every single day. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there's always a bit of oil on the rags. We open up early and stay until the jobs are sorted. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets a bit much during the summer, but we keep the fans going. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure things fit right. We’ve seen the MIDC change a bit over the years, but we’re still right here in the same spot. If you’re driving through Chikloli, you’ll see our sign. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are just out on the floor working. That is basically what we do here at N Singh Engineering Works, day in and day out. It’s a living.
