You’ll find us at shop number 386 in the Cloth Market in Ambala City. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it’s a crowded and loud place, full of people looking for all kinds of fabrics. We’ve been part of this market for many years now. Our shop is where we do all our designing work. It’s not very big, and we have to make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve got our stools and our workbenches, and there’s usually a lot of chatter from the street coming in through the door. It’s a lively atmosphere that keeps us going. We know most of the people who have shops nearby, so it feels like a big family sometimes. We don’t do any fancy advertising or have a big website. Most of our work comes from people walking by or from other shopkeepers who recommend us. During the wedding seasons, the market gets incredibly busy and we have to work long hours to keep up. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it has worked for us for a long time. We just focus on the designs and making sure they look right. There’s no corporate hierarchy here, just a few of us working together in a small shop. It’s a bit messy and chaotic at times, but that’s just how the Cloth Market is.
