Pawan Kumar Jain & Co. has been sitting right here in the Wholesale Textile Market of Ambala City for quite a while now. We’re just opposite Bal Bhawan, near Aggarsain Chowk, which is always busy with people and rickshaws moving about. Our shop at No. 106 is where we spend most of our daylight hours surrounded by stacks of fabric. It’s not a fancy place, honestly. Just a solid spot where we handle our daily work. Most mornings start with unlocking the shutters and checking what needs to go out. The market gets loud early on. You can hear the tea stall guy clinking glasses and neighbors shouting greetings across the lane. We’ve got shelves piled high, and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles. My father used to say the market has its own rhythm, and I guess he was right. We deal with all sorts of cloth here. Some days are slow, while others are a complete blur of counting rolls and writing out slips. The building is older, but it holds up fine. We don't really do the big corporate talk because that's not how things work in Ambala. People just want to know they're getting what they asked for without a fuss. We keep a fan running all day because it gets stuffy with all that cotton and synthetic material sitting around. That’s just how it is here at shop 106.
