Micro Technologies

We’ve been running Micro Technologies out of Khudda Kalan for a good while now. It’s a pretty simple setup here. Most mornings start with unlocking the front door and getting the lights on before the heat really kicks in. We spend most of our time at the workbenches, looking at different hardware and trying to figure out why things aren't turning on like they should. It gets a bit crowded with all the spare parts and boxes piled up in the corners, but we know where everything is. People from the neighborhood drop by mostly to ask questions or bring in stuff that stopped working. Sometimes it’s busy and other days it is just us drinking tea and waiting for a delivery. The street outside can get noisy, but inside it is mostly just the sound of fans and someone clicking a mouse. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just a place where we do tech work and try to keep things moving. We usually stay until the sun goes down and then lock up for the night. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of troubleshooting and looking at screens. We’ve grown used to the quirks of the building and the way the light hits the desks in the afternoon. It’s home for us during the day. Sometimes we have to move stuff around to make room for new gear, which usually ends up being a whole afternoon of rearranging.
