K K Travels Ambala Cantt

Down here in Dyal Bagh, we run K K Travels and it’s usually pretty busy with the phones ringing. Ambala is a busy place, especially around the Cantt area, so there are always people needing to get somewhere. We have our cars parked nearby and we spend a lot of time checking tires and making sure everything is running okay. It’s mostly just us trying to keep the schedules straight so nobody is waiting too long on the curb. Driving around here can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but we know the roads well enough by now. We started this because we knew the area and had a couple of decent vehicles. It’s not like those big corporate taxi apps you see nowadays. We are just local guys. Some days are slow and we just sit around the office drinking tea, waiting for a booking. Other days, like when there’s a wedding or a holiday, we don't even have time to eat lunch. People in Ambala know where to find us. We keep a notebook with all the names and times, even though everything is going digital now. It feels better to write it down. We just keep moving and hope the petrol prices don't go up too much again this month. It is honest work and it keeps us busy through the seasons.
