Ajmer Sharif Travels

We are over in Ambala City, running Ajmer Sharif Travels from our small office here. It’s the kind of place where the phone rings at odd hours because someone is worried about their bus or needs to find a seat last minute. We have been in this part of Ambala for a while, so we know the traffic patterns and which roads are blocked. The office has some old posters on the walls and a few benches for people to sit on while they wait for their paperwork. It’s usually a bit dusty because of the wind coming off the street. We keep a ledger for all the bookings, and sometimes the handwriting is a bit messy because we’re in a hurry. You’ll find us here early in the morning before the sun gets too high, getting everything ready for the day’s trips. It’s not like those big corporate travel offices you see in movies; it’s just a room with a desk and some water for the guests. People come in talking about their weddings or visiting relatives, and we just listen and try to get them a good spot on the vehicle. Ambala City is a busy junction, so there is always movement around us. We see the same faces every week, mostly local folks who trust us to get them where they need to go without any fuss. It’s steady work and we like being part of the local scene here. We hope to stay here for a long time as the city grows.
