We are based in a house, number 3660, right near the Kali Bari Mandir in Ambala Cantt. It is a residential area that has become a bit more commercial over the years. Since we are near the temple, we hear the bells and the morning prayers while we are starting our work. We do embroidery work here, so it involves a lot of attention to detail and sitting at machines for long periods. The space is a bit tight because we have to fit the machines and all the thread and cloth in one place. It is not a high-end studio; it is just a practical workspace where we get things done. Ambala can be a busy place, but our little corner near the temple stays relatively calm most of the time. Most of the people who work here live within walking distance, so we are a very local team. We don't go out of our way to act like a big company. We just take the orders as they come and try to finish the stitching as neatly as we can. Some days the machines break down and we have to wait for the repairman, which can be frustrating. But that is the reality of running a small business like this in Haryana. We just keep at it and hope for a good tomorrow.
