Doon Public School is tucked away in Sector 21 of Panchkula. If you live around here, you probably know the area well. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, except when school starts or ends. We’ve been operating out of this building for a while now. It isn't a massive glass skyscraper, just a regular school building where students come to sit at their desks and learn. Most of our days are spent checking attendance and making sure the bells ring at the right time. Teachers are usually busy carrying stacks of notebooks across the halls. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though the kids always find a way to leave a stray ball or a lunchbox behind on the grass. 134112 is a nice place to be based. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. It's funny how fast the kids grow up; one year they're small and the next they're nearly as tall as the staff. We don't do things in a very flashy way. There are no big slogans on the walls. We just focus on the lessons and the exams and making sure the fans are working when it gets hot in the summer. It’s just a local school where people from the neighborhood send their kids. We open early, we close when the last bus leaves, and we do it all again the next day. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of chalk, and someone has to run out and get more from the local store.
