Government Pg College

Being on Railway Road in Ambala Cantonment means you always hear the sounds of the city and the trains passing by. Our Government Pg College is right in the middle of all that activity. It’s a place where students from across Haryana come to finish their higher studies after finishing school. The building at 120 53 has been standing for quite some time now, and it shows in the architecture and the old stone. It’s not one of those modern glass buildings you see in the big cities nowadays. We have high ceilings and heavy wooden doors that have seen thousands of students pass through over the years. Mornings are always the busiest when the trains come in and the students walk over from the station. The classrooms are simple, with basic benches and chalkboards. We focus on the lessons and the exams. There is a lot of talk in the corridors about future jobs and old results. Our staff handles everything from admissions to the library records without much fuss or noise. It is a very grounded environment for learning. We don’t have a PR department making us look better than we are. It’s just a college where people come to learn and get ahead. Sometimes the garden looks nice, other times the grass grows a bit long, but the teaching doesn't stop. Most of us who work here enjoy the routine of the academic year. It’s a solid part of life in Ambala, providing a way for local kids to get their degrees.
