Prayag Marble

Prayag Marble has its office at 11/A/1 in the GIDC area on Koteshwar Road. We are out in Taluko Data, which is part of the Banaskantha district. Being in an industrial zone means it is mostly factories and warehouses around us. Our place is quite large because we need the space for all the heavy marble blocks and slabs we keep. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the work happens. The air is always full of that specific smell of cut stone and water. We have a few machines that run through the day to get the pieces sized right. It is noisy and dirty work, but it is what we know. We don't bother with a fancy showroom because our customers are usually builders or people who don't mind getting a bit of dust on their shoes. We handle the daily tasks ourselves, from checking the stone to making sure the loaders don't chip the edges of the slabs. Banaskantha is a good place for this kind of business. We keep things simple and don't try to act like a big city office. We just open the gates early and stay until the work is finished for the day. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the drivers while they wait for their loads. The yard is always busy with something going on. It is honest work.
