Alshad Saloon is right here in the Aluva Bazar area, not too far from Quality Bakery. If you’re around Company Paddi, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times already. We aren't one of those high-end places with fancy lights and expensive smells. It’s a simple setup with a few chairs and mirrors where we do haircuts and shaves every day. We’ve been in Ernakulam for a bit now, just serving the local guys who need a quick trim. The shop can get pretty crowded on weekends, especially with everyone coming into the market for their shopping. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle a pair of scissors. It’s usually pretty noisy with the TV running or someone chatting about the local news. Nothing too complicated. Sometimes we run out of chairs for people to wait, but nobody seems to mind the wait much. We just focus on getting the job done so people can get on with their day. The location is handy because you can grab fresh bread at the bakery right after your cut. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing.
