Subodh Iron Steel & Furnitures

We are located over by the bus stand on Church Road, running Subodh Iron Steel & Furnitures. It’s a busy junction, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. We make a lot of things out of iron and steel, mostly furniture like beds, cupboards, and racks. It’s heavy work. You can hear the sound of metal being cut or welded from down the street. We don't have a showroom with fancy lights. The furniture we make just sits out front or in the back until someone buys it. People come to us because they want something sturdy that will last a long time. It’s not like the stuff you buy in a mall that falls apart in a year. Our hands are usually black from the steel by the end of the day. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting and the painting. Sometimes the paint smell gets a bit strong if there’s no breeze. We’ve been at this Church Road location for a long time, and most people around here know us by name. It’s a straightforward business. We take an order, we cut the steel, we weld it, and then we paint it. There are no fancy brochures or sales pitches. Subodh Iron Steel & Furnitures is just a local shop trying to make honest goods for the people in our town. We just work with our hands and try to stay busy.
