Shiv Rice Mills

If you head down Rajgarh Road, you’ll find us at Shiv Rice Mills. It’s a straightforward setup. We don’t have anything fancy to show off, just the milling equipment and a big yard for the trucks to turn around in. The road out here gets a bit bumpy, but it doesn’t stop the work from getting done, I guess. We spend our days surrounded by the smell of rice and the sound of the motors running. It’s a constant rhythm once we get started in the morning. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their job, from the guys on the scales to the ones stacking the heavy sacks in the back. Rajgarh Road isn't the busiest place, but we stay occupied. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. Our focus is just on the piles of grain that come in every day. The work is hard on the back and the lungs, but it is what we do for a living. We’ve had the same machines for a long time, and they require a lot of grease and constant attention to keep them from jamming up. Some days are smoother than others, especially when the moisture in the air is just right for the milling process. We just want to finish the day’s quota and get home to our families. There’s no mystery to it, just a lot of effort and a bit of patience when things get backed up.
