Working out in the industrial area is a bit different than being in the city. Sanlak Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. is at Plot No. G-1/142 in Phase 3. It’s a place where things actually get made and moved. There are a lot of trucks going past all day, so it’s never really quiet. Our building is a sturdy one, built to handle the heat and the dust that comes with industrial work. Inside, it smells a bit like oil and dry earth. We don’t have a fancy reception desk with a bowl of mints. Instead, there’s a heavy door and a workspace where the real work happens. We spend a lot of time checking on the machines and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. The floor is concrete and has some stains from years of work, but that’s just part of it. We have a small office section where we keep the records and handle the government forms. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, so we have a few big fans going all the time. Lunch breaks are usually taken sitting on some crates or at the small wooden table in the back. People here work hard and don't care much for fancy talk. We just want to make sure the products are right before they go out the gate. It’s a long day, but it’s honest work for everyone involved at Sanlak. We stay until the last truck leaves.
