We are located out on the Alwar Sariska Road in a place called Kushalgarh. It is mainly just the fields and the road leading to the forest. Ved Parkash is the one who keeps things running here. We started Kaanan Organic because we wanted to do things the way they were done a long time ago. It’s not a big company with a lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll find us out back near the plants or checking on the storage area. The village life is slow but we stay busy. There is a lot of dust from the road when the trucks go by towards Sariska, but it is home for us. We don't use the big words you hear in the city. We just grow what we can and make sure it’s clean and natural. Sometimes the weather in Rajasthan makes things difficult because it gets so hot, but the land is still good. We have a small team of local people who help with everything. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have the work that needs to be done before the sun sets. If you come by, you might see us sitting under the tree talking about the next harvest. It is a simple life and we are just trying to keep the tradition of natural farming alive without making it too complicated or expensive for people.
