Raasi Art Foundations

Raasi Art Foundations is located right at 1, Anna Avenue, over in Bakthavatsalam Nagar. Adayar is a busy place, but our little spot stays fairly focused on the work at hand. We spend a lot of our time surrounded by materials and various projects that people bring in or that we start ourselves. It’s the kind of place where you might find some dust on the shelves and a few half-finished pieces sitting in the corner. We aren't trying to be a high-end gallery with white walls and silent rooms. Instead, it’s a working space. There’s usually someone moving things around or organizing the supplies. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the neighbors know us well enough by now. Some days are quieter than others, giving us time to look over what we’ve done, while other days are a bit of a scramble to get things ready. It’s just how the art world works, I suppose. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make things. If you walk down Anna Avenue, you’ll see our door. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy, just enough space for us to do what we need to do. We like the light we get in the afternoons, and the street outside is always full of life, which keeps things interesting for us throughout the week. It feels like home to us, honestly, with all the mess and the creativity mixed together.
