Out here in Village Ramgarh, life is a bit slower than in the big cities. Nagpal Building Material is situated right near the bus stand on Kishangarh Road. It’s a convenient spot because everyone passes by it eventually. We deal with all sorts of building supplies, not just bricks. You’ll see piles of different materials scattered around our yard. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our business happens right out in the open or under the small tin roof of our office. Being near the bus stand means there’s always a bit of activity and people stopping by to ask questions or check prices while they wait for their ride. We know most of the families in Ramgarh and the surrounding areas. When someone is building a new wall or fixing a roof, they usually wander over to see what we’ve got. Sometimes we have to tell people we're out of something because the supply truck didn't make it out to the village on time. It happens. We don't try to sound like some big company because we aren't. We're just local people trying to provide what the village needs to grow. The days can be long, especially in the summer when the sun is beating down on the Kishangarh Road, but we keep at it. It’s honest work and we take a bit of pride in seeing the houses in the village that were built with our materials. It feels good to help out neighbors.
