Our factory for Maruti Kesri Nandan Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is situated out in the RIICO Industrial Area, specifically at Phase V, 1/1395. It is a heavy industrial zone, so the roads are always full of big trucks and there is a lot of dust in the air. We spend our days processing different kinds of grains and food products. The sound of the machinery is constant from morning until evening, and it can get quite loud inside the main shed. We are not a fancy corporate office; we are a production unit where real work happens. The bags of grain are heavy, and moving them around keeps everyone busy throughout the shift. In the summer, the heat inside the building can be very tough, but we have some large exhaust fans to keep the air moving. We have a small office near the front gate where we handle all the transport papers and talk to the drivers. It is a basic setup with wooden desks and a lot of ledgers piled up. Most of our workers live in the villages nearby and have been with us for a long time. We focus on the quality of the food we produce rather than how the building looks from the outside. It is a lot of responsibility to handle food, so we keep things clean and orderly. The industrial area is a tough place to work, but we like the pace of it.
