Agro Gard Farmer Producer Company is a group of us here in Jalalpur, Alwar. Rameshwar Dayal, who is the son of Prahalad, is our main point of contact. We are a company made of farmers. It is not like those big companies in the city where you don't know who is in charge. Here, we all know each other. We are located right in the village. Our main work is helping each other get better seeds and a better price for our crops. Whether it is mustard or wheat, we try to handle it together. The office is just a simple room with some chairs and a table. It is usually quite loud with everyone talking at once. We don't have any professional training in business. We just learn as we go. The paperwork is the hardest part for us. We spend a lot of time trying to get the forms right for the government. Rajasthan can be very dry, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and rain. We are proud of what we have built here in Alwar. It is not always easy to get everyone to agree, but we manage. We don't have a marketing department. We just have our reputation in the village.
