Kiran Bricks Indrustries

Kiran Bricks Indrustries is located in Village Badarher, which falls under the Kishenghed tehsil. It’s a bit out of the way, but that works for a business like ours. We need the space for the kilns and the large areas where the bricks sit to dry. The landscape here is mostly flat, so you can see our tall chimney from quite a distance away. When the monsoon starts, we have to shut down the firing process and focus on maintenance. That’s when we fix the sheds and check the equipment. During the dry months, it’s all hands on deck from dawn until dusk. The heat from the kilns is intense, but we’ve all gotten used to it. We don’t use any high-tech machines, just the old-fashioned ways that have worked for generations. Our office is just a corner of the main shed with a wooden desk and a few chairs. We keep our records in thick ledgers and don’t bother much with computers. People from Kishenghed come to us because they know we’ve been here for a long time. We don’t make big promises, we just provide what’s needed for the local building projects. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s honest work.
