Alwar Refractories Pvt. Ltd. is located over at A-13 M. I. A. and we deal with stuff that can handle a lot of heat. It is a bit different from the stone yards around here. We work with materials for kilns and furnaces. The air in our shop is usually warm and smells like clay and minerals. It’s a busy spot in the industrial area, with trucks always backed up to the loading dock. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in and someone will help you. We’ve got a lot of bins filled with different types of refractory materials. It’s a lot of physical labor, bagging things up and moving pallets around. We try to keep things organized, but in a place like this, things get messy pretty fast. Our team is small and we’ve all been working together for a long time. We know who is good at what. If someone needs a specific type of brick or lining, we usually know exactly where it is in the warehouse. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our business comes from the factories nearby that need repairs or new setups. It’s a steady rhythm of mixing, molding, and shipping. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the bags are sealed properly so they don't break during transport.
