Unforgettable Journeys

To get to us, you have to walk up the stairs because the lift is often out of order. It’s a bit of a climb but we are used to it by now. The office itself is just a regular room with a few desks and some plastic chairs. We’ve got maps tacked to the walls that are starting to curl at the edges from the heat. Tashkand Marg is usually very busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. You can hear the constant traffic noise from the window. We spend most of our time here handling travel bookings and talking to people about where they want to go. It’s not a fancy place by any means. There’s a ceiling fan that hums all day long and a small metal cupboard for our files. Sometimes we make tea on a little electric stove in the corner when it gets quiet. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. People in Civil Lines know where Sanjay Tower is, so it’s easy for them to find us. We don’t have a big corporate staff, just a few of us who know the business well. The desks are covered in old notebooks and pens. It feels like a real workspace. We just do our work and then head home.
