Travel In Duars

Birpara is a small place and that is where we operate from. Being in the Duars region means we see a lot of green and a lot of rain for most of the year. Our daily routine involves checking on the vehicles and talking to the drivers who know these mountain roads better than anyone else. It is a very local setup here. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls; it is just a simple room where we keep our keys and our notebooks. People come to us when they want to see the tea gardens or the forests nearby. We spend a lot of time cleaning the mud off the tires after a long trip up north. The weather really dictates how our day goes. If it’s pouring down, we spend more time inside drinking hot tea and waiting for the clouds to clear up so we can get back on the road. There is a certain way of doing things here that involves a lot of patience. We know the shortcuts and which roads get blocked when it storms. It is not a fast-paced environment. We take things as they come and try to make sure the cars are running well enough for the next trip. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone in Birpara and they will point you toward where the tour guys hang out. We just want to make sure the trips go smoothly without any major breakdowns.
